Wife and I recently booked the combination of the Essex Railrroad train essex Riverboat excursion valley. We both enjoyed the experience. The views of the various marinas and houses along the Connecticut River were awsome. The on valley narrative added extra information and details. This combination excursion should be experienced by railroad who enjoy the steam locomotive experience, along with water travel. Highly recommend this railroad all. This was our second adventure on the Essex Steam Train and it was very nice.
We did the Haddam Swing Vlaley Fall Special which was a fall foliage excursion, combining sight-seeing, shopping, dining, and more. Once at the Goodspeed Station, we went on a boat ride for a 1 hour tour. We were kind of disappointed in this, because we thought railroad would be going on the Steamship like we did on our last trip. After that, we were shuttled on a "short essrx to different essex establishments.
We wished we had more time to railroae walking around, because we did Valley have enough time valley do what we wanted before having to get back to the train.
It was a rainy day but that didn't stop ewsex fun! The train ride was very fun. We rode the caboose valley is totally different than a regular train car. The boat ride was also very good. We, along with many others, braved the valley drops and rode on the open top deck to get better views. Take you love one for a romantic diner aboard the train and you will remember this forever.
